A Marriage Story: Scene Recreation

Marriage Story: Scene Recreation is a directing exercise based on a scene from Noah Baumbach's Marriage Story. Created as an exploration of actor direction and storytelling that relies on dialogue, the project challenged me to recreate the emotional intensity of the original while developing my own creative input and directing process.

I worked closely with the cast throughout casting calls to auditions, to rehearsals and production, focusing on performance, blocking, and pacing to create a grounded and emotionally honest scene.
